|Dye Painted/Mono Print on Vintage Table Linen, Bethany Garner 2016|
RefugeWalking the back trails in Algoma woodlands, J.E.H. Macdonald sought out bogs and ponds hidden deep in the shoreline forest. My art work reflects his passion for summers end, algae covered ponds. Mono-print, using artist’s thickened dyes on a vintage linen tablecloth.
Bethany GarnerI am a contemporary quilter, Restoration Specialist, Quilt Conservator and have so enjoyed sharing time with my students as an Instructor in the Textile Design Program at St. Lawrence College, Kingston, ON since 1996. I love to inspire students to take chances, make time for all things new and explore their favourite techniques in the classroom and their home studios, just as I do in mine!
